Due to family emergencies this week, less chess than usual. Still playing blitz, and I will summarize the effects of this rebellious phase of blitz-playing pretty soon. The short story is that it has helped my tactics a lot, helped my blitz play a lot (well, ~200 rating points in my blitz play), and helped me realize just how unimportant the opening is at my level.

you. no disrespect, but i have been telling you this for one year+ about openings. i have not told you wrong yet, in those regards. when i tell you other things now, and i have not told you too many, but what i have, i mean 100%, will you dismiss those, too?

transform: I've always known I shouldn't worry about openings, but liked opening study so much I did it anyway. This blitz has helped make it even more real. I've just been playing whatever the hell I feel in the opening: KG, ruy, whatever, I don't care and it doesn't matter....
It is always more gratifying to say "I told you so" than to see someone actually follow one's advice. :O
