February Chess Improvement Blog Carnival is up!
Thanks to Brooklyn64 for hosting: you can find the carnival here. It looks like a great carnival I look forward to dissecting the various new permutations of tactical training in the Knights Errant Revival.
Remember, if you want to see material in the carnival, you have to submit it yourself! Submissions are always at this link.
Next up is the March 2011 edition, hosted by Blunderprone.

I'd better start writing something then. That carnival submission site looks a bit scammy though
The submission site is not very well designed, I'll grant that. If there were a better alternate I'd use it!
this was an amazing idea BDK. Thank you so much for bringing the blogging world together. This thing is like a snowball, it's just going to get bigger and bigger. It's really bringing the chess blog world together. Are you familiar with the Chess Journalists of America award for "Best Blog of the Year?" I think we should all join (10$ a year) to nominate and vote for each other. The Kenilworthian has won two years in a row, but according to the CJA website I think he nominated himself, so there's nothing stopping all 10, 20, 30 of us from getting together and voting as a block to pass that award around for a while.

It seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with an award where you can nominate yourself??
I don't recall ever seeing that before.
Perhaps I'm reading it wrong?

In any case, I'm preparing a "call to arms" post- perhaps how that we are organizing all of these chess blogs we can all join this organization and really blow it up with submissions and vote together to choose the best blog. I nominate both chess confessions and blunderprone's blog right off the bat- as they have been crucial in the carnival and Knight's revival we're seeing. There must be at least 20 fellow bloggers out there with good content and the desire to organize- we can do this.
Interesting idea, but ignoring the ethics of the situation, I would not deserve it for my content, as I pretty much am not making much new content any more. I'm just trying to generate a centralized source for people to check in with, and motivate them to post, each month. So I'd say nominate Blunderprone, or someone else. Just not me. :)
ok, I feel like you deserve some sort of recognition for starting this carnival which is going to grow and grow, but maybe the success of the carnival is reward enough. In any case, I'm glad you're on board! I'm going to maybe think about taking good pictures all year to challenge the photojournalism award as well. Today I spoke with Dr. Frank Brady, and he mentioned that he thinks the CJA has 100 members max. So we could easily join and dominate any single group.
