Why are you here?

I'm in the offseason of chess. Perhaps you'd like to visit Wang's Chess House which is full of great new stuff including book reviews, DK Transform has started a very active twitter account by the name 'heuristical', Katar has an entertaining post with repertoire suggestions for black, and Polly has yet more great tournament reports from around the great US of A.

DK tweeting is a bit like Shakespeare writing Mac Beth in 140 words. He should go back to blogging.

DK Transformer has indeed transformed to a non-chess twitter that has to much on his twitter to read it all.

Being back from a five day chess holiday i guess i will be able to post one of these days.

It IS baseball season however and my World Champion Philadelphia Phillies have a 5 game lead in the NL East. (although they have hit a bit of road bump the last few games)

I hope the Red Sox can make a run of it! I don't LOVE the Red Sox but I REALLY DON'T like the Yankees!! :)

Funny how when you really go after your chess obsession, you kinda get over it eventually. I think about playing maybe even making another rund athe the circles, but I don't really want to.

In case it sparks your interest. The Cobras season starts Wednesday, Sept. 2nd. You can come hang out and analyze the games live with us. I usually have fun with it and there's no stress because you're not actually playing.

This may also be tempting http://www.ncchess.org/tournaments/Henderson.htm. I'm planning on going, it's less than an hour drive.
