Via the wayback machine, we have access to chess blogs that are long dead. You don't get the whole blog, but at least you get a little taste. My two favorites are Patrick's Chess for Blood and Quandoman.
Chess for Blood was the first chess blog I ever read. Patrick had a ton of really good posts. Too bad he stopped blogging. And too bad the Wayback machine didn't archive posts past the summer of 2006...
BDK: Thanks for posting this! Patrick's Blog is what led me to yours.
I haven't given up on the chess improvement. College is eating up loads of time, and the choice would be not playing chess or not doing my Statistics papers. Hmm...since the government made it clear I would payback their money in case of failure...I hope you all understand.
I have read your blog daily though. What happened with posting your games on Chess.com? Cheers

I'm getting nostalgic for the rotating head.
I sorely missed Chess For Blood as it was one of my favourite chess blogs of all time.
The amount of material on that blog was incredible and Patrick's contribution to the online chess community cannot be anymore understated imho.
Unfortunately, I guess it was his time to move on and I do wish him the best (wherever he is now).
Part of me still hopes he would come back one day to resume his blog.
How about this relic ?

The wayback machine is a nice way to look back in time. I also had a look at my own chess site.
